Project was completed in two stages. First – construction of 110/20kV Substation at the Balkan Industrial Park, along with the adjacent facilities. At the second stage was constructed the energy storage system and the adjacent facilities.
CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION WORKS:
- Installation of 110kV primary equipment in the switchyard: SF6 circuit breakers, earthing switches, surge arresters, diesel generator.
- Assembly and installation of relay panels and distribution panels.
- Completion and installation of 20kV Switchgear type NXAIR-M, under license by Siemens.
- Construction of lighting installation and power and socket installation in the switchgear and control room.
- Installation of cable routes, laying of MV and LV
- Installation of Auxiliary power supply transformers and fault
- Cable connection and installation of MV cable ends.
COMMISSIONING AND SCADA:
- Functional testing of switchgear - 20kV modules, 20kV and 110kV primary equipment, relay panels and distribution panels: secondary switching check; signalling check; control check; interlocking check.
- SCADA System - an automated control system (SCADA) has been built in the substation to provide a real-time data transmission to two operator stations in the town of Peshtera and the town of Lovech. The SCADA also provides signaling of the primary facilities to the TDU North. Data is transmitted according to IEC60870-5-104 protocol and complying with specifications by ESO. The automated control system has been implemented using RTU Siemens SICAM A8000.
