Dipl. Eng. Stefan Yankov from ABB presented the innovative technological advantages of Emax2 air-insulated Circuit breakers.

ABB solution here is related to direct connection of the breakers to automation systems and energy management systems, as well as improvement of the productivity and the energy efficiency. Thanks to its novelty, aesthetics, high quality, applicability, functionality and productive efficiency this solution has showed to be excellent and won the Red Dot 2014 Design Award. Dipl. Eng. Yankov also presented ArTu type-tested panels giving examples for their certain application in various industrial enterprises.

Scope of the contract includes elaboration of a detailed design for substitution of outdated 6 kV Switchgear with a new one equipped with vacuum circuit breakers.

Furthermore design includes DC panel and secondary commutation part: control, signalization, protection, automation, and metering.

20/6 kV Substation at Pump Station (PS) Maritsa is a part of the power system of Neochim PLC chemical plant in Dimitrovgrad providing electricity for the technological and production cycle of the plant. 

The 20 kV and the 6 kV Switchgears (SWGs) of the Substation are furnished with outdated equipment under many years of exploitation causing frequent failures which disturb the fluency of production cycle in the plant. 

Contract amounts over 1.2 million leva. It includes rehabilitation of 4 rectifier stations, and was awarded after procurement procedure.
